Blast Off!!

Fellow Sports Nuts, we are here....

The New Year is upon us and so far it has been a crazy one in College Sports!
Cam Newton lead the Auburn Tiger's to their first National Championship victory since 1957! Beyond all of the speculation and accusations of Cam Newton, he kept his composure and had a very impressive season.
We must not forget Oregon also played a great game, when many thought they would get blown out! Even though they didn't come away with the W, this did great things for the Ducks program. It showed that more than the common name and SEC teams can compete, it also showed how widespread the talent pool has become. I already can't wait for next season!

So far, College Basketball has been...well...MADNESS! And it's not even March yet.
Already, we have seen some shocking games to say the least.
The Big East is clearly the strongest conference, every team pretty much has a shot to win conference right now. How about those HUSKIES! who would have guessed that they would be one of the strongest teams, they are being lead by Kemba Walker who has lead this team all season.
Walker, a JR is averaging 24.2 ppg which is second most so far this season.
The ACC is looking stronger now than at the start of the season. Duke is looking like one of the strongest teams in the NCAA this year but had a tough loss against St. Johns on Sunday. I believe everyone was surprised by the upset. Florida State is playing strong conference basketball and pulled off the huge upset against Duke this year! We also have the Duke/UNC rivalry right around the corner on February 9 at Duke, and it never matters who is ranked what...it is always a death match.
Speaking of North Carolina, they were looking really strong with a five game win streak and then suffered a tough loss against Georgia Tech but has picked things back up lately with a big conference win over N.C. State.
